School-age children and adults come to Woods Services from more than 27
states and many of them describe Woods as a “home away from home.” Our
picturesque campus spans 300 acres of countryside where buildings, pools
and playgrounds dot rolling lawns.
Conveniently located in Langhorne, Pennsylvania, a Bucks County suburb of Philadelphia, Woods is easily accessible to major population centers. Our proximity to a variety of local resources including restaurants, shopping, entertainment, and parks allows our clients to enjoy the pleasures of community life within the framework of support and supervision. We value community integration and work hard to create opportunities that support the development of practical living skills that will serve our clients when they leave Woods.
Our Brian’s House program in Chester County, Pennsylvania, is a program of 30 community residences scattered throughout the area. Camp Joy is a rustic, overnight camp program that spans 57 wooded acres in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
Most clients live in homes on campus or in local neighborhoods. All residences
on our campus and in the community offer the same comfortable surroundings
found in typical family homes. Playing games, watching favorite television
programs, and celebrating special occasions are enjoyed by clients in surroundings
appropriate to their needs. Volunteer efforts, religious activities and local
events allow clients to gain independence while making positive contributions
to the community.
We take great pride in all our buildings and the environment that surrounds them. Residential improvements, such as renovations and furniture upgrades, are made on a regular basis and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. All these enhancements help ensure a safe, attractive, home-like environment for the people who live here.
