Assists teacher in all aspects of classroom management and instruction. Assists in conducting assessments of current functioning levels. Assists in implementing approved goals, objectives, and related lesson plans. Assists in responding to behavioral emergencies and in implementing approved behavioral programs. Assists in conducting scheduled activities. Assists students in all aspects of self-care. Maintains accurate data, per program requirements. Assists in the development of instructional materials. Escorts and monitors students as requested. Attends scheduled team and staff meetings as requested. Performs other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent; experience with people who are developmentally disabled. Demonstrate ability in written and oral communication in the English language. Must be able to lift/ transfer a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be 21 years of age or older.
