Like most non-profit schools or residential programs, tuition and fees often do not cover the entire cost of the services Woods provides. For this reason, Woods must rely on gifts and grants for programs that improve the quality of life for those it serves as they strive to reach their goals.
Woods' primary challenge is that nearly every state and government agency is facing the reality of having less money for health and human services. There continues to be growing pressure to reduce spending for health care services. It is almost certain that these changes will impact Woods' future income as funding agencies become less willing to pay for more than minimal services.
Because the majority of Woods' clients are funded by public agencies, these changes already are having an impact on the operating budget. The future growth and continued quality and stability of Woods Services depends, in large part, on private funding and support.
To meet this challenge, we need the support of our families, corporations, foundations and friends in the community. Your generosity will ensure a bright future for everyone who relies on us for quality care.
Our key funding priority is The Campaign for Woods’ Second Century. Donations to the Campaign will help ensure that we are ready to face the future. You may also make a gift to the Special Needs Fund or in support of recreational activities for Woods' clients.
