The holiday season is not only a time of giving, but an opportunity to share our happiness with those in need. However, the holiday season can be difficult for some.

At Woods, there are many people who don't have family or friends to remember them with a gift. Others may not know the joy of receiving a holiday gift because their families have limited financial resources.

To ensure no one is forgotten during the holidays, we established the Secret Santa program. Last year, thanks to the generosity of many volunteers and other community members, we provided in excess of 1,000 Secret Santa gifts for more than 300 people in our care.

Examples of what a gift from you could provide include -

  • $25 for crayon and coloring books for a little girl who likes to draw.
  • $50 for a special teddy bear that provides calming sensory benefits to a child with autism.
  • $100 for a CD music system for a young girl who likes to sing and dance.
  • $150 for a hand-held computer game for a teenage boy.
  • $250 for a play house designed to provide a quiet place to read or relax for a child with autism.

Brighten the lives of those in need by making a donation to supplement the Secret Santa fund. If you would like to help, you may make your gift online. Go to the Donation Form and enter Secret Santa into the “Special Projects” field.

The more gifts we receive, the more joy we can bring our clients this season. Thank you for your generosity.
