How You Can Help

The Special Needs Fund

Donate Today

Many of the people served by Woods lack the financial resources for things they need, such as a pair of eyeglasses, a hearing aid, or a trip to summer camp with other kids. These simple things can mean a great deal to those who face special challenges every day.

For that reason, Woods established the
Special Needs Fund to make sure that all Woods’ clients have essential items that will improve the quality of their lives and build
their self-esteem and independence. The Fund allows them to participate more fully in
campus, family, and community life by providing opportunities that would not otherwise be available to them.

A contribution to the Special Needs Fund will help a child with a disability become more independent, achieve a goal, or simply have a chance to participate in a fun activity.

Examples of what a gift from you could do -

  • $50 would send a girl to a gymnastics class to help improve her strength and coordination.
  • $100 would purchase a safety helmet for a young boy with a serious seizure disorder.
  • $250 would give a student with impaired hand control a special computer keyboard.
  • $500 would provide new eyeglasses for three clients.

The Special Needs Fund is made up entirely of contributions from people like you. The more gifts we receive, the more people we can help. It’s that simple.

If you would like to help, you may make your gift online. Go to the Donation Form and, in the “How do you wish your gift to be used ” field, select "Special Needs Fund " from the drop down menu.

Thank you for your generosity.
