Making a Bequest
One of the major reasons for a Will is to allow you to distribute your
estate to the people or organizations that you care about. To transfer your
property and assets to one or more beneficiaries through your Will, you may
choose from a variety of options:
- You may indicate who will receive your personal belongings or property.
- You may give a specific dollar amount to a beneficiary.
- You may divide up your estate by percentages and leave each beneficiary
a share of your estate.
- You may establish a trust fund through your Will that provides future
income to individuals, organizations or both.
- You may also name a contingent beneficiary, in the event that one
of your primary beneficiaries is no longer living when your will is read.
- After you have divided your property through your Will, you may also
want to name a remainder beneficiary who will receive everything that
is the “left over” portion of your estate.
As you consider your Will, we hope you decide to include a bequest to support
our services and programs. To include Woods Services as a beneficiary in
your Will or trust fund, please use this wording as our official name:
“Woods Services Foundation, a Pennsylvania
corporation located in Langhorne, Pennsylvania.”
None of the above is intended as legal advice.
Please consult your attorney or other professional advisors.
