Woods Services Presents Scholarships to Neshaminy Seniors

June 9th, 2009

Langhorne, Pa. – Dr. Robert G. Griffith, President and CEO of Woods Services, recently presented Neshaminy High School seniors, Chelsea Perugini and Jennifer Leachko with the Mollie Woods Scholarship Award.

“This award was established as a way to recognize Neshaminy High School seniors who overcame personal adversity and through their academic achievement, volunteer commitment, and interest in human services, demonstrate the values held by Mollie Woods, founder of Woods Services,” said Griffith.  Both students will receive $2,000 in scholarship assistance toward their educational goals.

In 1913 Mollie Woods founded The Woods Schools for children with developmental disabilities.  Known as Woods Services today, the non-profit organization provides educational, residential, and vocational services to more than 1,400 children and adults with special needs.  Woods is located in Langhorne, Pa. with additional locations throughout Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties.
