With the help of our community partners and friends in Bucks County, Woods Services delivered a complete, ceremonious holiday season for our residents to enjoy. Here is who we would like to thank for making this year’s festivities possible.
Thank you to the American Red Cross Southeastern Pennsylvania Region
for helping Woods deliver hundreds of holiday cards to veterans in the Bucks County community as part of our “Cards for Peace” campaign. Cards were made by our staff and residents, along with Bucks County community members, and have been delivered by the American Red Cross to The Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers in Philadelphia and Coatesville, Pa., as well as local multi-service resource agencies. Cards will continue to be delivered during the holidays and through Valentine’s Day.
Thank you, PetSmart of Newtown,
for donating hundreds of plush animals as gifts for our residents. Our Woods family has come to love this tradition of making new fuzzy and furry friends during the holidays.
Thank you, Northeast Riders Motorcycle Club and Stars & Stripes Harley Davidson,
for an exhilarating visit to our campus on Dec. 12. Members of the Northeast Riders Motorcycle Club, along with Santa, paraded through the campus on their motorcycles and dropped off holidays gifts for the residents. The gifts included toys and games, personal care products, craft activities and clothing.
Thank you to the Bucks County community members
for being our residents’ Secret Santas this holiday season. You fulfilled our wish lists with your donations and generosity. Thank you for also taking part in our “Cards for Peace” campaign to bring a smile to our local veterans’ faces, and for donating to our Giving Tuesday campaign to support animal-assisted therapy for our residents.
Thank you, Woods staff members
for your hospitality and continued support to our residents along the way. We hope you enjoyed the annual Midnight Walk with President and CEO Tine Hansen-Turton on Dec. 14, as well as the meet-and-greet with our evening staff. We also hope you liked the delicious hot chocolate and plush animals distributed at Common Grounds on Dec. 15.
Thank you, Santa Claus,
for making each experience special this holiday season. You lit our Christmas tree, delivered more than 1,100 gifts to our residents this season, and you even paid us a special visit on a motorcycle with the Northeast Riders Motorcycle Club. Santa Claus, indeed, came to town at Woods!
