We provide individuals with opportunities to gain skills that will help them increase their independence. Our day program services for adults with disabilities include vocational training and employment services tailored to the individual’s need for work readiness, employment in structured setting or a job in the community.
During the week our day program adults participate in a variety of vocational training opportunities. Whether working at The Woods Enterprises (TWE) , creating floral arrangements at Yellow Daffodil, serving coffee at Common Grounds or are or employed in a job in the community, we like everyone to have a working foundation to facilitate future employment possibilities.
For those working in the community, our Job Coaches provide support until the person is ready to work by themselves. In some cases, we provide transportation to and from work, while other times the individual is able to travel independently using public transportation. We maintain positive relationships with our community employers and honor one of these businesses each year during the HOLLYWoods Gala. Past honorees include Wendy’s and Corner Bakery Cafe.
If you own a business in the Langhorne area, you should consider hiring a person with disabilities. Studies have shown that businesses that do so, improve employee morale and enhance customer experience.
If you have employment opportunities you’d like to discuss, please contact Laura Hough at 215-750-2969.
