Each year, Woods holds a signature special event to raise unrestricted funds to support its “Greatest Need.” In 2019, Woods will be “Soaring to New Heights” as we apply evidence-based treatments and a public health approach to develop innovative and individualized supports that empower people with disabilities and challenges to reach their highest potential.

Following the restaurant showcase, there will be a short awards program to honor individuals and corporations that have played a particularly vital role in the development of Woods’ social enterprises. These awards will be followed by a Live Auction and Special Appeal. Please support Woods and our social enterprises in “Soaring to New Heights.”

What are Social Enterprises?

Social enterprises are small businesses created by Woods to offer training and employment opportunities to people with disabilities. Woods leads the human service industry in developing integrated work environments that employ people with challenges. Residents work side-by-side their non-disabled peers to learn more about the daily operation of a business. Woods currently has four social enterprises and plans to continue developing new ones.
